Where We’ve Been

Healthy Babies for Marathon County has implemented many measures to support the above initiatives:

  • Provided short-term in-home mood disorder services.
  • Supported a mood disorder conference in the community to educate providers about perinatal mood disorders.
  • Promoted the increased use of a depression screening tool in the community.
  • Promoted importance of early care through community education via palm cards and fliers at places young women frequent and at health fairs.
  • Provide Pack N Play cribs, along with safe sleep education and follow up evaluation, to parents of newborns in Marathon County in need.
  • Provided community education and support regarding opiate addiction during pregnancy to patients and health care providers.
  • Educated providers regarding identification and referral of women who smoke to available cessation resources such as First Breath and the Quit for Baby Blog.
  • Provided Quit for Baby Gift Bag for providers with smoking cessation information for pregnant women.
